Mrs Kesara says the SET's 46.6 billion baht average daily trading volume is still highest in the Southeast Asian region, despite being lower than 52.5 billion baht seen last year. "The SET is confident it will meet the 280 billion baht target for IPO fund-raising through newly-listed firms this year," said Mrs Kesara. Institutional investors were the highest net buyers in the first half of this year at 51.4 billion baht, followed by foreign investors at 13 billion baht. Retail investors were the highest net sellers at 63.3 billion baht, followed by broker proprietary trading at 1.18 billion baht. A specific date set for trading has not been set as details need to be approved by the Bank of Thailand, she said.
